Ohio Turnpike Commission

The Ohio Turnpike Commission is a body both corporate and politic, constituting an instrumentality of the state. The Commission is comprised of nine members, including: four members appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the Ohio Senate, the director of transportation, the director of budget and management, the director of development, one member of the Ohio Senate, and one member of the Ohio House of Representatives. Each member is appointed to an eight-year term. In addition to serving as the issuer for the obligations, the Commission oversees and manages the construction, operation, and maintenance of the Ohio turnpike system.
