Three more government entities have posted their spending on OhioCheckbook.com, an online government transparency website launched by Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel in 2014. Hubbard Township, Bristol Township and the Niles City School District joined the program Monday. Mandel said Hubbard and Bristol are the fourth and fifth townships in Trumbull County to join, and Niles is the seventh county school district to do so.
Hubbard Township’s online checkbook includes more than 8,000 individual transactions that represent more than $5.5 million of total spending over the past four years. Bristol Township’s online checkbook includes more than 9,400 individual transactions that represent more than $2.9 million of total spending over the past two years, a news release from Mandel’s office states. Niles City Schools online checkbook includes more than 37,000 individual transactions representing more than $122 million in total spending over the past four fiscal years.
