Findlay Courier: McComb, Rawson, Riverdale Schools join online checkbook

Two Hancock County villages, two townships and one school district have joined the Ohio treasurer’s office online checkbook program.

Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel announced Tuesday the villages of McComb and Rawson, Union and Portage townships, and the Riverdale School District have joined OhioCheckbook.com. The website program puts all of those governments’ spending information online.

McComb and Rawson are the second and third villages in Hancock County to post their spending on OhioCheckbook.com, Union Township and Portage Township are the fourth and fifth townships in the county, and Riverdale is the second school district to join the program.

According to Mandel’s office, the local government sites will provide the following information:

• McComb’s online checkbook includes over 6,100 individual transactions that represent more than $4.7 million of total spending over the past two years.
• Rawson’s online checkbook includes over 1,200 individual transactions that represent more than $317,000 of total spending over the past two years.
• Union Township’s online checkbook includes over 1,500 individual transactions that represent more than $972,000 of total spending over the past two years.
• Portage Township’s online checkbook includes over 1,400 individual transactions that represent more than $790,000 of total spending over the past four years.
• Riverdale Local Schools’ online checkbook includes over 51,000 individual transactions that represent more than $45 million of total spending over the past four fiscal years.
