Treasurer Mandel Hosts CPIM Conference in Columbus
COLUMBUS – Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel’s office hosted a Center for Public Investment Management (CPIM) conference in Columbus on July 10th. CPIM provides local government investment officers with continuing education training as they work to safeguard taxpayer dollars.
Public funds officials in Ohio are required by law to receive continuing education credits in the areas of investment and management of public finances. The conference covers a variety of topics and provides comprehensive financial training that benefits public funds managers at all levels of experience.
“As protectors of taxpayer dollars, public funds officials at all levels of government are entrusted with making safe and secure investment decisions,” said Treasurer Mandel. “We are proud to provide local government finance officers with training and education that can help them be more successful in safely managing Ohio’s tax dollars.”
The Ohio Treasurer’s office offers CPIM Conferences throughout the year, as well as courses online, to help government finance officers meet their continuing education requirements while increasing their knowledge as they work to effectively manage and safeguard Ohio’s tax dollars.
