OHIO TREASURER CORDRAY OFFERS HELP TO “REBUILD YOUR CREDIT” PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 06 September 2007 09:54

Ohioans are learning that their personal credit rating is an inescapable and potentially valuable commodity in the 21st century.  What many don’t know, is that they may be paying more than they need to for everyday items… from their car to their washing machine… if their credit rating is weaker than it should be.  Yet many are unclear about what steps should be taken to strengthen weak credit, whether that weakness is the result of financial problems or simple inaction.

Ohio Treasurer Richard Cordray will partner with Lucas County Treasurer Wade Kapzukiewicz, the Lucas County Foreclosure Prevention Task Force, and Consumer Credit Counseling Service to present a “Rebuild Your Credit” workshop on Saturday, September 8, 2007.   Representatives of the Ohio Treasury, consumer credit reporting agency TransUnion, and the non-profit Consumer Credit Counseling Service will guide participants through a multi-step process designed to improve their personal credit.  Particpants can register to take part by calling the Ohio Treasury at 1-800-228-1102.
