Ohio Treasurer Richard Cordray announced that $50 million in state funds has been deposited into 14 banks in 12 counties following this week's Bid Ohio auction.
Bid Ohio , administered by the state treasury, allows local banks to compete each month for $50 million in interim state funds. Winning banks are chosen based on the highest interest rates for six-month certificates of deposit. Minimum bids must be at or above the interest rate of the six-month Treasury bill which was 3.28 percent for this month. .
“Bid Ohio puts the state's money to work in communities around the state allowing safe and solid return on our investments,” Treasurer Cordray said.
