ECO-Link offers a reduced interest rate on home loans that are for home improvement projects on the primary residence of the applicant. The project can be for improving an existing home or to help offset qualified costs associated with building a new home. Eligible homeowners can receive up to a 3% interest rate reduction on their loan for up to seven years. The homeowner must use the funds of the loan for the improvement of their property.
There are no fees assessed by the Treasurer’s office for the preparation, processing, reporting or monitoring of any ECO-Link application. The application process is simple and easy to complete.
How is the ECO-Link rate reduction determined?
The ECO-link interest rate reduction of up to 3% is calculated by the Ohio Treasury using current market investment indicators, and the negotiated business loan rate. As of 6/7/2019 the linked deposit and business loan discount rates will match. For more details about this discount rate model please contact our office.
