Ohio Pooled Collateral System

The Ohio Pooled Collateral System (OPCS) helps protect government deposits by streamlining the process of pledging collateral to secure public deposits. By providing a centralized portal for managing collateral, OPCS improves efficiency and reduces administrative costs for both local governments and financial institutions.

Through OPCS, financial institutions save through the pooling of collateral, and local governments have access to information regarding collateral pledged by their participating financial institutions on a daily basis.

The Treasurer's office is the sole administrator of the program and is responsible for managing the pledged collateral. By shifting this administrative burden to the Treasurer's office, local governments and financial institutions save time and resources.

Financial institutions and local governments can find more information about OPCS at https://opcs.ohio.gov.
